The new Ultimate filtration line improves on Pur Advantage models, eliminating additional contaminants such as cadmium. It also reduces cryptosporidium, giardia, lead, mercury, asbestos, copper, zinc, and sediment 96 to 99.99 percent, plus lowers chlorine levels and lessens discoloration.

This stylish, chrome-plated system attaches to the faucet head--so water flows directly through the filter to the sink. Assembly instructions, including a video, are available on the Pur Web site. Tilting the filter back allows unfiltered water through for household chores such as dishwashing.

Water flows through the system at a rate of 2-1/2 liters per minute with pressure levels of 60 PSI. An automatic safety monitor (ASM) notifies users when it’s time to replace the filter. Filters last approximately two to three months and may be purchased in bulk.
